#50 Public schools teach Hebrew, English and Arabic

There is an old joke: A person who speaks three languages is trilingual, a person who speaks two languages is bilingual, a person who speak one language is an American. Israeli speak multiple languages. Kids are taught Hebrew, English and Arabic in most Israeli schools. It is amazing to see how quickly parents, who might not be strong Hebrew speakers, pick up Hebrew. Olim who choose not to live in an Anglo bubble learn even more quickly and find their integration into Israeli society to be rewarding.
